Shafqat Iqbal, Currently, Completed the Doctoral Degree in Statistics at Dr. Chongqi Zhang's lab, School of Economics and Statistics, Guangzhou University, Guangzhou, China. 

 His research in Dr. Zhang's lab focuses on the role of fuzzy set theory, statistical, clustering and machine learning methods for development of new fuzzy time series prediction models with application to financial market data, share prices, university enrollments, crop production and some other benchmark data sets.

        Currently he is working on development of new hybrid prediction models with combining machine learning, clustering and fuzzy time series approaches. He has published 8 papers in internationally renowned journals such as International Journal of Fuzzy Systems, Journal of Intelligent and Fuzzy Systems, IEEE Access, International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering, Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences and Journal of Mathematics. Also two Conference papers in International Workshop Soft Computing Applications and International Conference on Business and Technology.
