Hui Tian is now a professor and an associate dean of College of Computer Science and Technology, as well as the chair of network and information security department. He received the B.Sc. degree and the M.Sc degree under the supervision of Prof. Yanduo Zhang in Computer Science in 2004 and 2007 from Wuhan Institute of Technology, Wuhan, China, and the PhD degree under the supervision of Prof. Dan Feng and Prof. Ke Zhou in Computer Science in 2010 from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China. He was a research assistant co-working with Prof. Yongfeng Huang in the Department of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University in 2007 and 2008. Since september 2010 he has been at National Huaqiao University. From Feb. 2016, he is a visiting scholar of School of Computing at National University of Singapore. His present research interests include network and multimedia information security, cloud computing security, security and privacy for big data, digital forensics; information hiding and covert communication, and intelligent computing. He has published more than 80 papers in refereed proceedings of national and international conferences, journals and books, and applied more than 20 national patents. He serves as editor of International Journal of Advancements in Computing Technology, and guest editor of special issues of a number of international journals, such as Security and Communication Networks, EURASIP Journal on Information Security Annals of Telecommunications. Moreover, he has been serving as reviewer for many reputable journals, such as, IEEE Transactions on Dependable and Secure Computing, IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, IEEE Internet of things Journal, IEEE Security & Privacy, Communications of the ACM, Information Sciences, Journal of Network and Computer Application, Computer & Security, Computers & Electrical Engineering, Transactions on Emerging Telecommunications Technologies, Multimedia Systems, Security and Communication Networks, International Journal of Communication Systems. He is a senior member of China Computer Federation (CCF), a member of the Technical Committee on Internet of CCF, a member of the Technical Committee on Information Storage of CCF, and a senior member of IEEE, ACM and the Chinese Institute of Electronics (CIE).
