Introduction
Ding-You Li,MD, PhD, is Professor of Pediatrics at University of Missouri and University of Kansas School of Medicine. He is the Medical Director of Clinical Services of Gastroenterology Division and the Director for International Center for Education and Research & Joint Fellowship Training Program in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.
Dr. Li earned his medical degree from Central South University Xiang-Ya School of Medicine in China. He obtained his PhD degree in pharmacology from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. He completed his pediatric residency at Maimonides Medical Center in New York City and his pediatric gastroenterology fellowship at Johns Hopkins Children’s Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland.
Dr. Li's research interests include non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, bile-acid profilein cholestasis, GI pharmacology and inflammatory markers in liver injury. He has published many peer-reviewed articles. He is a member of several professional societies including the American Gastroenterology Association, the North American Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition, American Association for the Study of Liver Disease and the American Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition. He has served on many committees as a member.
