Yang Liu, Associate Professor, School of Computer Science, Sun Yat-sen University, theCore Member of the Human-Cyber-Physical Intelligence Integration Laboratory (https://www.sysu-hcp.net). His research focuses on robust and trustworthy multimodal representation learning and embodied intelligence. He has published over 30 papers in leading journals and conferences, including T-PAMI, T-IP, T-KDE, CVPR, and ICCV, with two papers recognized as ESI Highly Cited and Hot Papers and two ranked among the top ten for journal impact factor contributions. He authored the book Multimodal Large Models: A New Generation of Artificial Intelligence Paradigm, which was included in Sun Yat-sen University's undergraduate textbook series and earned him the title of "Outstanding Author of the Year" by Electronics Industry Press. Liu leads the development of the open-source framework CausalVLR for multimodal causal reasoning and an embodied intelligence resource repository. He has served as the principal investigator for nearly ten national and provincial-level projects, including key and youth grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China. His achievements have been recognized with the 2023 China Software Conference Robot Large Model and Embodied Intelligence Challenge Award and the First Prize at the 2023 Guangdong Province 3rd Youth Academic Showcase in Computer Science.
