Dr. QingHua Zhu was a visiting scholar with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, New Jersey Institute of Technology(NJIT), NJ, USA, from 2014 to 2015 and from 2017 to 2018. He is an associate professor with the School of Computer Science and Technology, Guangdong University of Technology, China. His research interests include scheduling and optimization in semiconductor manufacturing, cloud and edge computing, deep reinforcement learning, discrete event systems, production planning, and Petri nets. His research projects involve scheduling multi-cluster tools in semiconductor manufacturing, supported by the NSFC and NSF of Guangdong Province, China, and scheduling methods in cloud computing. He is a Principal Investigator of these projects. He has authored over 30 papers published in academic journals and conferences, such as IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics: Systems, IEEE Transactions on Automation Science and Engineering, IEEE Transactions on Semiconductor Manufacturing, Computers & Operation Research, and the IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation. He served as a Program Committee member for several international conferences. He also served as a reviewer for some international journals and conferences. He is listed in Marquis Who's Who in the World 2016 (33rd Edition).

He is an IEEE Senior Member and an ACM Member.
