Wang Jie, a male Bai ethnic individual from Dali, Yunnan, holds a PhD in Management. He serves as a professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Business Administration and Tourism Management, Yunnan University. Additionally, he holds positions as Director of the Border Tourism Research Base at the China Tourism Academy, Visiting Scholar at Rutgers University, Expert at the Border Tourism Research Base of the China Tourism Academy, Expert at the China Science Exploration Association, and Expert at the Cultural and Tourism Key Think Tank Project. He is a core member of the Yunnan Provincial Tourism Innovation Management Team, a member of the Yunnan Provincial Tourism Research Academic Committee, a member of the Yunnan Provincial Scenic Spots Expert Committee, a member of the Yunnan Provincial Tourism Standardization Committee, and a member of the Yunnan Provincial Tourism Planning Association. His primary research interests lie in spatial economics, border tourism, and cross-border tourism. He has presided over two projects funded by the National Social Science Fund, participated in four key projects funded by the National Social Science Fund and the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and led 20 other provincial and ministerial-level projects. He has authored eight academic works, including "Research on the Development of China'.
