I am a professor in the School of Computer Science, South China Normal University (SCNU). I joined SCNU in September 2013, after I received my PhD in Computer Science at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST). I won the ACM Wuhan Doctoral Dissertation Award in October 2014.

My main research interests include: (1)  I/O Stack of Operating System; (2) Storage Engine of Database; (3) System Software of Cloud Computing and Big Data. Some of my current projects focus on building highly-efficient I/O system atop the novel storage devices such as persistent memory.
