BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Daqiang Zhang holds a joint PhD in Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and served as a postdoctoral researcher at Mines-Télécom Institute, France.
 
Dr. Daqiang Zhang has presided over 1 national science and technology major special project (2025) and participated in 1 national science and technology major special project (2026). He has led more than 10 research projects, including a subproject of the National Key R&D Program, the National Natural Science Foundation for Young Scientists, and the General Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Additionally, he has directed over 20 projects funded by the Fok Ying Tung Education Foundation, the Scientific Research Foundation for Returned Overseas Chinese Scholars of the Ministry of Education, the Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities, and other programs.
 
In the past three years, Dr. Daqiang Zhang has led his team to secure numerous national and municipal honors and funding, including: 
National Key Specialized, Sophisticated, Unique, and New "Little Giant" Enterprise (2025), 
Special Fund for National Foreign Trade and Economic Development (2023–2025), 
National Intelligent Manufacturing "Ranking & Bidding" Project (2023), 
Shanghai Service Industry Development Guidance Fund (2023), 
Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Special Program (2025), 
Shanghai Industrial Internet Special Program (2025), 
Shanghai High-End Equipment First Set Breakthrough Program (2023, 2024), 
Shanghai Special Fund for Promoting the Development of Cultural and Creative Industries (2024), 
and Shanghai Oriental Elite Leading Talent (2023).
 
His main research interests include artificial intelligence, machine vision, and robotics. Dr. Daqiang Zhang has published more than 80 papers in prestigious international academic conferences and journals such as ACM UbiComp, IEEE INFOCOM, IEEE TPDS, IEEE TC, ICRA, AAAI, ACM TECS, IEEE TIS, IEEE TI, and IEEE Internet of Things Journal, with over 12,000 citations on Google Scholar.
 
He has received the Nomination Award for the 2024 Shanghai Technological Invention Award and the Gold Award at the 2024 "Equipment China" High-End Equipment Design and Innovation Competition.
