BIOGRAPHY

Yiming Tang received his Ph.D. degree from Hefei University of Technology in 2011. He is now a Professor, Doctoral Supervisor at Hefei University of Technology, and a Deputy Head of Department of Intelligent Science and Technology at Hefei University of Technology. He was also a Visiting Professor at University of Alberta, Canada. His research interests include Clustering, Fuzzy reasoning, Machine learning, Social systems, Affective computing, Image processing and Computer-aided design.

 

He is an Associate Editor of Information Sciences, an Associate Editor of IEEE Access, an Associate Editor of Journal of Intelligent & Fuzzy Systems, an Academic Editor of Applied Computational Intelligence and Soft Computing, a Guest Editor of Symmetry, a Guest Editor of Applied Sciences, a Guest Editor of Demonstratio Mathematica, an Associate Board Member of CAAI Transactions on Intelligent Systems, an Associate Editor of Journal of Mathematics and Informatics.

 

He is a Senior Member of IEEE, a Senior Member of CCF (China Computer Federation), and a Senior Member of CAAI (Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence). He serves as a Program Committee of more than ten conferences (e.g., AAAI). He won the First Prize for Innovation Award of Wenjun Wu Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology Awards of 2012 and the Third Prize for Progress Award of Wenjun Wu Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology Awards of 2014. He won the Third Prize of the 8th Anhui Province Natural Science Excellent Academic Paper of 2016 twice. He was awarded an IEEE Access Outstanding Associate Editor of 2021 and 2022.

 

He is a Deputy Director of Trusted Artificial Intelligence Committee of Anhui Artificial Intelligence Society, a Publication Chair of the 9th International Conference on Fuzzy Systems and Data Mining (FSDM 2023), a Publication Chair of the 3rd International Conference on Artificial Intelligence Logic and Applications (AILA 2023), a Paper Recommendation Chair of the 17th and 18th Chinese Conference on Computer Supported Cooperative Work and Social Computing (ChineseCSCW 2022 and 2023). In August 2015, as the Chairperson of the Organizing Committee, he successfully held the 2015 Symposium of Fuzzy Logic and Intelligent Computing.

 

He serves as a Standing Committee of Artificial Intelligence Logic of CAAI, a Standing Committee of Non-classical Logic and Computing of Chinese Society of Logic, an Executive Committee of Cooperative Computing of CCF, a Professional Committee of Machine Learning of CAAI, a Professional Committee of Granular Computing and Knowledge Discovery of CAAI, and a Professional Committee of Artificial Intelligence Fundamentals of CAAI.

 

He has published one monograph and more than 90 papers in many journals and conferences, including 2 Hot Papers and 2 Highly Cited Papers of ESI (such as TPAMI, TCYB, TFS, TETCI, and so forth).

 

He is a reviewer of more than 60 journals and conferences (including IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence, IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems, IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man and Cybernetics: Systems, IEEE Transactions on Emerging Topics in Computational Intelligence, AAAI Conference on Artificial Intelligence, Pacific-Asia Conference on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining, and so on).

 

He has presided over 10 scientific research projects, which include the National Natural Science Foundation of China (General Program, two times), National Natural Science Foundation of China (Youth Program), China Postdoctoral Science Foundation (Special Fund), China Postdoctoral Science Foundation (General Program), Natural Science Foundation of Anhui Province, Innovative Foundation of Yong Teachers of Hefei University of Technology and so on. He also participated in 16 scientific research projects.
