Yuping Sun received the B.E. and Ph.D. degrees in computer science from the South China University of Technology in 2009 and 2015. From 2013 to 2015, he was a visiting Ph.D. student in the Department of Mathematics, National University of Singapore. He was a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow with the School of Automation Science and Engineering, South China University of Technology in 2015-2018. Since 2018, he has been an assistant professor with School of Computer Science and Technology, Guangdong University of Technology. His research interests include computational biology, machine learning and pattern recognition.
