I am Jiahui Pan. I obtained my B.S. degree in Computer Science and Technology and my M.S. degree in Computer Application Technology from South China Normal University in Guangzhou, China, in 2008. My early research focused on medical image processing and virtual surgery simulation, during which I collaborated with Prof. Susu Bao. From 2009 to 2010, I served as a technical advisor at Shenzhen Yorktal Digital Medical Imaging Technology Company Ltd. After 2010, I pursued my Ph.D. degree in Pattern Recognition and Intelligent Systems under the guidance of Prof. Yuanqing Li at South China University of Technology in Guangzhou, China. It was during this period that I initiated my research on brain-computer interfaces and their clinical applications.
In 2008, I joined the School of Software at South China Normal University in China, where I successively held the positions of Department Head, Dean's Assistant, and Vice Dean. In 2024, I transferred to the School of Artificial Intelligence at South China Normal University, where I am currently a Full Professor and Doctoral Supervisor. I also hold the positions of Vice Dean of the School of Artificial Intelligence, and Director of the Brain-Computer Interaction and Hybrid Intelligence Research Center. From 2021 to 2024, I served as a double-appointed researcher at the Pazhou Laboratory. My research primarily focuses on brain-computer interfaces and their clinical applications.

I have published over 90 SCI papers as the first or corresponding author, with more than 4,000 citations on Google Scholar, an h-index of 32, and five ESI highly cited papers. My publications include top-tier journals in neuroscience such as Brain, IEEE journals such as P. IEEE, IEEE TAFFC, IEEE JBHI, IEEE TBME, IEEE TNSRE, IEEE TIM, and IEEE TCDS. I have also presented at top-tier conferences in artificial intelligence, including ICLR, IJCAI, and AAAI. In 2024, I was included in the Stanford University list of the world's top 2% scientists.

As the principal investigator, I have led three National Natural Science Foundation of China projects, four Guangdong Provincial Natural Science Foundation projects, two Guangdong Provincial General University projects, two municipal science and technology innovation talent projects, and one international standard project. As the institutional leader, I have co-led one Ministry of Science and Technology's Major Project of National STI 2030-Brain Science and Brain-like Research and one National Key Research and Development Program's "Strategic International Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation" key special project.
