Research Interests

Natural product is a crucial source of novel drug development. However, a key problem hindering natural products study is the unknown mechanism of action. Therefore, how to identify the direct target for these bioactive natural products is a pivotal scientific issue. Our group is mainly engaged in discovery of active components from natural medicines and the molecular mechanism of blood development, including three aspects: 1) identify active ingredients of traditional Chinese medicines and the direct target for these bioactive natural products; 2) Screening of active compounds based on targeted proteins, such PPM1B; 3) erythroid cell development, hematopoietic stem cell self-renewal and molecular regulation. Collectively, our research can not only reveal the detailed pharmacological mechanism for the bioactive natural products, and also provide the novel therapeutic targets for new drug development in clinical.
