Professor and Doctoral Supervisor of School of Information Science and Technology, Sun Yat-sen University, Senior Member of IEEE, Distinguished Member of China Computer Federation(CCF), Senior Member of China Institute of Electronics, China Institute of Communications and ACM. He received his bachelor's and master's degrees from Huazhong University of Science and Technology and his Ph.D. from Sun Yat-sen University. In 2002 and 2004, he went to the University of Southampton in the United Kingdom and Oregon State University in the United States as a postdoctoral research and visiting scholar. He is mainly engaged in scientific research in Internet of Things, Artificial intelligence, wireless mobile communication technology, channel coding technology, etc. In recent years, he has published more than 160 academic papers, co-published 5 books, obtained more than 50 invention patents, 3 international patents and other intellectual property rights, and won 1 first prize of Guangdong Science and Technology Progress Award.
