Xiao Hua Olivia, associate professor,  the master's supervisor, the Class B high-level talent in Zhanjiang City, graduated from City University of Hong Kong. Research interests include: design and manufacture of semiconductor light-emitting devices, luminous mechanism of nano-photoelectric materials, modulation characteristics of visible-light communication, failure analysis of photoelectric devices, spectral optimization algorithm, neural network algorithm, etc. In Journals of Opt.Lett., IEEE Electr.Device L., IEEE T. Electron.Dev., she has published more than 30 SCI and EI papers on LED lighting source design, white-LED spatial light field design, luminous surface microstructure modeling, visible-light communication light source devices, etc. She has obtained 6 authorized invention and utility-model patents, and 5 software Copyrights. She was a reviewer of IEEE Photonics J.

Chaired research projects: Hunan Normal University Youth Fund Project, 2014-09 to 2016-09; Youth Innovation Project of Guangdong Provincial Department of Education (No. 2020KQNCX026), 2022-06 to 2023-06; Youth Characteristic Innovation Project of Guangdong Provincial Department of Education (No. 2022KTSCX050), 2022-06 to 2024-06; Zhanjiang Ocean Young Talent Innovation Project (No. 2022E05003), 2022-11 to 2024-11; National Natural Science Foundation of China (No. 62304054), 2024-01-2026-12.

Project participation: Guangdong Province "Overseas famous teacher" innovative talent training project, conclusion, participation (third participant). Natural Science Foundation of Guangdong Province (No. 2021A1515011847), 2021-01 to 2023-12,  the second participant.

Teaching: Currently serving as the teacher of courses such as "Optical Fiber Communication", "Mobile Internet" and "Scientific and Technological Paper Writing". She has experience in teaching and social practice in overseas universities and has been a class teacher for 4 years. She has guided more than 40 graduates in graduation design, and has basic knowledge background of curriculum theory and teaching theory, modern pedagogy theory and educational psychology. In recent 2 years, she has published 4 papers on teaching reform. At present, she has presided the collaborative education project of the Ministry of Education, the university-level teaching reform project, the online open subject for undergraduate universities in Guangdong Province, and participated in the collaborative education project, the online open course teaching reform project, and the online-and-offline mixed course.

Guiding students' competition: Guiding 3 projects of National College Students' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, from 2021-05 to 2023-05, all of which were finished.

Guiding students to publish papers: Guiding freshmen and sophomores to publish 3 Chinese journal papers.

Awards: Won thel Excellent Association Instructor in 2021, the Excellent Class teacher in 2022, the Excellent Paper Award in the Journal of Luminescence in 2023, and the best oral presentation award in the "International Energy, Materials and Photonics Conference (EMP23)" in Singapore.
