Research area and interests

Plant cuticle and the environmental response: Explore the effects and response of cuticle on the development and senescence of plant organs i.e., flowers, leaves, stems and fruits under different environmental stresses. The changes of morphology, biochemistry, physical properties of cuticle as well as the potential molecular regualtion mechanisms will be comprehensively investigated.

Postharvest biology: The basic mechanisms of physiology, biochemistry and molecular perspectives of plant cuticle-mediated ripening, senescence and quality changes of harvest crops. Explore and develop the application technologies for the preservation of postharvest fruits and vegetables.
