Canlong Zhang got his PhD degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University of China in control theory and control engineering. He is now a Professor and PhD Director at Guangxi Normal University of China. He is a senior member of China Computer Federation (CCF), also the chairman of Guilin Branch of CCF Young Computer Scientists & Engineers Forum, and a member of Guangxi Association of Artificial Intelligence. His current research focuses on person identification, target tracking, image segmentation and cross-modal retrieval.  He is principal investigator of twelve projects, where three National Natural Science Foundation of China, three Guangxi Natural Science Foundation, two the Guangxi Scientific Research and Technological Development Project, two Open Project of the Key Laboratory in Guangxi, one Education Reform Project of Guangxi, and one Provincial First-class Course. Besides, he is other investigator of three projects of the national and provincial foundation. He has published more than 60 papers, where 27 papers were collected by SCI, and 15 papers were publiced in international conference. He has seven national invention patents. Professor Zhang was awarded one third class prize for scientific and technology progress in Guangxi, and has supervised 38 students, including 4 PhD students and 33 Master students since 2014.
