Yang Yu, professor, School of Software Engineering, Sun Yat-sen University, Guangzhou, China. Deputy Director of National Digital Home Engineering Technology Research Center, Director of University Key Laboratory of Software Technology in Guangdong Province. CCF Distinguished Member, ACM Member. Executive member of CCF Collaborative Computing Committee, director of Guangdong High Performance Computing Society, Deputy director of Guangdong Software Engineering Teaching Steering Committee. 
He received the bachelor's and master's degrees in computer science from the Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China, and the Ph.D. degree in computer science from Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU), Guangzhou, China, in 1988, 1991, and 2007, respectively. From 1991 to 2002, he was a Senior Engineer and CTO with a software company. Since 2002, he has been a Vice Professor with the School of Information Science and Technology at SYSU, where he has been a Full Professor with the School of Software and School of Data and Computer Science since 2011. 
Until now, he has presided over 6 projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China (including 2 joint fund projects), 2 projects of National Key Research and Development Program of China, 9 provincial and municipal major projects, and more than 30 provincial and municipal science and technology projects and enterprise projects. He has published more than 90 papers in TSC, TNSE, TMIS, TETC, ASE, BPM, ICWS, IPDPS, SCC, ER, CoopIS and other famous journals or conferences at home and abroad, and obtained 16 authorized invention patents and more than 20 software Copyrights. He won the ICWS2022 Best Student Paper Award, and ACM SIGSOFT Distinguished Paper Award(ASE2023). As a main member, he won the "First Prize of Guangdong Science and Technology Award" and "Second Prize of National Science and Technology nominated by the Ministry of Education". 
He has served as a review expert for National Science and Technology Awards and Science and Technology Awards of the Ministry of Education, a review expert for National key research and development programs, a review expert for National Natural Science Foundation, a review expert for science and technology projects in many provinces and cities, and a reviewer for more than ten famous academic journals and conferences at home and abroad.
