Can Yang is an associate professor since 2005 and a professor in advance since 2013 at the college of Computer Science and Engi- neering of South China University of Technol- ogy. He was a post-doctor in the college of Computer Science and Technology from August 2002 to October 2004 at Huazhong Univ. of Sci. & Tech. (HUST) Wuhan, China. He received his PhD., M.D. and B.D. at HUST in 2002, 1997 and 1994, respectively. He was a visiting scholar at ECE of New York University in 2013. His current research includes cross-media computing, mobile video and online recommendation systems. He won the Sci. and Tech. Progressive Award of Guangdong Province in 2011 and 2015, and the Sci. and Tech. Innovation Award of SARFT of China in 2012, respectively. He is a member of IEEE and a senior member of CCF.
