CFP: The international journal of "Data Science and Pattern Recognition (DSPR)"

A new journal, titled Data Science and Pattern Recognition" (ISSN2520-4165)This is a new open-access journal, with a focus on data science, big data, and pattern recognition. The journal will be published by the Taiwanese publisher Ubiquitous International, which already publishes several SCI journals. In the next year, we will be pushing hard to make this journal a high level journal. For this purpose, we have worked hard on creating an outstanding editorial board with world-class researchers in the fields of data science and pattern recognition.

Aims and Scope

Data science and analytics has emerged as an important research topic in recent decades, with applications in many fields such as market basket analysis, social networks, the Internet of Things and cloud computing. Pattern recognition is also a very active research area in computer science and information theory, which is increasingly popular in recent years. The primary objective of the Data Science and Pattern Recognition (DSPR) journal is to give the opportunity to researchers, scientists, industry practitioners, and professionals to publish outstanding work in these fields. The journal welcomes manuscripts describing experimental and theoretical findings both on data science and pattern recognition, and encourages the application of theoretical models in real-life applications. The journal also welcomes the submission of survey papers that provides a detailed overview of specific research areas.

Topics of relevance include all aspects of the scientific foundations, technologies, theories, and applications in the fields of data science and pattern recognition, including but not limited to:

            Data mining

            Knowledge modeling and visualization

            Machine learning and deep learning

            Database management and query processing

Social network analytics, behavior analytics and text analytics

Big data mining and cloud computing

            Security, trust and privacy issues

            Bioinformatics

            Recommender systems

            Pattern recognition

            Image or signal processing

            Artificial intelligence and optimization methods

Innovative software for data science or pattern recognition

The First Issue and Goal

It is our goal to make the journal EI and SCI indexed in the next years.  Currently, there is no publication fee for publishing in this journal, to help support the journal initially. But there should be some in the future, since it is an open-access journal. Thus, it is a good time to submit your papers, now!

There will be 4 issues per year, for a total of approximately 24 papers per year. The first issue has just been published. It contains five papers including a paper that I wrote.

The next issue is planned for June, so if you want to submit a paper, please send it before June. After that, the following issues should be in September and December. In any case, if you have any question about the DSPR journal, you can have a look at the website, let me know directly, or use the contact e-mail on the journal website to contact us.

Submission

The Data Science And Pattern Recognition (DSPR) journal is an open access and academic journal publishing fundamental, theoretical, application-oriented, and survey papers on all aspects of data science and pattern recognition. Submitted manuscripts must not  have been published or be under consideration for publication elsewhere. The publisher will not be held legally responsible should there be any claims for compensation. The inclusion of a submitted manuscript in the journal will be decided based on two to five peer reviews, within 3 to 6 months after submission. Accepted articles will be generally published within 6 months to 1 year after acceptation. Prospective authors should send their manuscripts to dspr.submit@gmail.com. All articles should be submitted in PDF format and be formatted according to the guidelines of DSPR (see http://dspr.ikelab.net/submission/ ). Should authors have any needs for assistance, please contact the DSPR Editorial Office by email.
