FARIA is planned to organize as an annual international symposium on frontier of future academic research and industry application. The aim of the conference is to provide an international forum that brings together researchers from academia and practitioners from industry to exchange frontiers in recent research work on all aspects of computing science and wireless communications.


We are now organizing FARIA2019, which is co-organized by the Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Nanjing Sari Intelligent Technology Co. Ltd., Nanjing Great Information Technology Co. Ltd and Jiangsu Microcomputer Applications Association. The executive and program committees of the conference have worked very hard to prepare a workshop program and make the conference a greater success. Title: Relay-by-Smart Phone: How we make the academic research into practical use, challenges and directions


Biography: Nei Kato is a full professor (Deputy Dean) with Graduate School of Information Sciences (GSIS) and the Director of Research Organization of Electrical Communication (ROEC), Tohoku University, Japan. He has been engaged in research on computer networking, wireless mobile communications, satellite communications, ad hoc & sensor & mesh networks, smart grid, AI, IoT, Big Data, and pattern recognition. He has published more than 400 papers in prestigious peer-reviewed journals and conferences. He is the Vice-President (Member & Global Activities) of IEEE Communications Society (2018~2019), the Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology (2017~), and the Chair of IEEE Communications Society Sendai Chapter. He served as the Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Network Magazine (2015~2017), a Member-at-Large on the Board of Governors, IEEE Communications Society (2014~2016), a Vice Chair of Fellow Committee of IEEE Computer Society (2016), and a member of IEEE Communications Society Award Committee (2015~2017). He has also served as the Chair of Satellite and Space Communications Technical Committee (2010-2012) and Ad Hoc & Sensor Networks Technical Committee (2014~2015) of IEEE Communications Society. Invited Speaker: Prof. Yun Lin, Harbin Engineering University

Title: From Radio Frequency Fingerprint to RF-DNA, the Survey, Challenges and Further Directions

Biography: Yun Lin is currently an associate professor at college of information and communication engineering, Harbin Engineering University, China. He received the B.S. degree in Dalian Maritime University in 2003, the M.S. degree in Harbin Institute of Technology in 2005, and the Ph.D degree in Harbin engineering university in 2010. He was also a visiting scholar in Wright State University, USA, from 2014. 6-2015. 7. His research interest is focusing on machine and deep learning, information security, signal processing, information fusion, cognitive and software defined radio. Until now, he has presented more than one hundred scholarly works including journal paper, book chapters and conference proceeding papers. And, he has served as reviewers for several journals and conferences such as TRel, TIT, TVT, TWC, IEEE ICC, IEEE VTC, IEEE MILCOM, IEEE WICOM.


Invited Speaker: Prof. Zhaoyue Zhang, Civil Aviation University of China

Title: The Discussion of the Civil Aviation Surveillance Technology and Data Application

Biography: Zhaoyue Zhang received the B.S. degree in Binzhou University in 2008, the M.S. degree in College of Air Traffic Management, Civil Aviation University of China, Tianjin, China in 2011. He is currently a professor at college of air traffic management, Civil Aviation University of China. He has been engaged in civil aviation traffic information engineering and control, big data analysis and artificial intelligence research. He has participated in 4 Natural Science Foundation of China (i.e., NSFC) projects. As the project leader, he has finished over more than 10 science and technology projects. He has won the second prize of Science and Technology Award of China Intelligent Transportation Association. He published a book on air traffic surveillance technology alone and published more than 20 technical papers.

Abstract: Since the birth of the aircraft in 1903, with the growth of flight flow and the rapid development of modern electronic communication technology, civil aviation surveillance technology has experienced manual surveillance, primary radar surveillance, secondary radar surveillance, automatic dependent surveillance, and multi-source surveillance. With the advancement of science and technology, new technologies for air traffic surveillance will continue to emerge, and the level of monitoring accuracy and automation will be further improved. This report focuses on the development trend of air traffic surveillance technology, aircraft communication addressing and reporting system (ACARS), air traffic surveillance radar, automatic dependent surveillance system (ADS), multi-lateration system (MLAT), advanced surface movement guidance and control system (A-SMGCS), airport scene video recognition technology, air traffic control multi-source collaborative  surveillance technology, low-altitude airspace surveillance, civil aviation data application and so on.

Title: The Discussion of the Application of Artificial Intelligent Visual Analysis Technology in Power Grid

Biography: Dr. Wang Luo works as a Senior Engineer in NARI Group Corporation (i.e., State Grid Electric Power Research Institute). He is selected as Jiangsu Province Innovative and Entrepreneurial Ph.D. Talent in 2013. As the project leader or technique leader, he has finished more than 20 science and technology projects, such as Natural Science Foundation of China (i.e., NSFC), Jiangsu Province science and technology project, Sichuan Province science and technology project, and State Grid Corporation science and technology project. He has authored and co-authored over 30 technical papers in international famous journals and conferences, such as IEEE Trans. GRS, IEEE GRSL, and SPIC.

He works in the area of Visual Signal Processing, Artificial Intelligent, Big Data, Electric Power Information and Communication. As an organizer or participant, he has finished several enterprise standards, technical plannings, and products which has been widely used in State Grid Corporation. He has won several awards, such as second prize of excellent achievements in information technology of electric power industry, academic innovation award in FOCUS2016, excellent natural science paper award of Nanjing, first prize of best paper in NARI Group Corporation. He serves as the Guest Professor or Adjunct Researcher for several universities such as Nanjing Normal University and Ningxia University. He also serves as the vice director of organization committee in JSAI.

Abstract: The cameras play a more important role for operation monitoring, operational maintenance, overhaul, and security of power grid. In the State Grid Unified Video Surveillance Platform (SG-UVP), there are more than 300,000 cameras which capture a large number of the monitoring images and videos every day in State Grid Corporation. Most of the images and videos are used to trace the important information (i.e., the device status and the abnormal behavior of the workers). In this talk, we introduce several artificial intelligent visual analysis technologies to trace these important information. The attribute information of the images and video will be annotated automatically to improve the efficiency of the work. We also discuss the future applications of the artificial intelligent visual analysis technologies in detail.

南京邮电大学NJUPT

南京邮电大学是国家一流学科建设高校,其前身是1942年诞生于山东抗日根据地的八路军战邮干训班,是我党、我军早期系统培养通信人才的学校之一。1958年经国务院批准改建为本科高校,取名南京邮电学院;20054月,更名为南京邮电大学。学校原为邮电部和信息产业部直属重点高校,2000年起实行中央与地方(现为工业和信息化部、国家邮政局与江苏省)共建,以江苏省管理为主。201310月,原南京人口管理干部学院正式并入南京邮电大学。学校秉承信达天下自强不息的南邮精神,践行厚德、弘毅、求是、笃行的校训,发扬勤奋、求实、进取、创新的校风。目前学校已发展成为一所以工学为主体,以电子信息为特色,理、工、经、管、文、教、艺、法等多学科相互交融,博士后、博士、硕士、本科等多层次教育协调发展的高校。学校坐落于历史文化名城南京,现有仙林、三牌楼、锁金村、江宁四个校区,21个院(部、中心),另外还在扬州举办了独立学院南京邮电大学通达学院。

学校具有良好的教学、科研支撑条件。现有国家地方联合工程研究中心1个,国家地方联合工程实验室1个,省部共建国家重点实验室培育基地1个,省部共建教育部重点实验室1个,教育部工程研究中心2个;国家级实验教学示范中心2个,国家级虚拟仿真实验教学中心3个,国家级工程实践教育中心1个,国家级校外实践教育基地1个,国家级高校学生科技创业实习基地1个;原信息产业部重点实验室11个,中央财政专项实验室(含中央地方共建)76个。图书馆拥有纸质文献藏书量220余万册,其中信息、通信、电子等专业文献齐全、富有特色。

学校人才培养工作成绩显著,在教育部本科教学工作水平评估中取得优秀成绩。长期以来,学校立足培养全面发展的高质量人才,坚持基础厚、素质高、能力强的原则,不断深化教育教学改革,构建了特色鲜明的人才培养体系。近年来,获得国家级教学成果一等奖1项、二等奖1项;国家级精品课程1门,国家级双语教学示范课程1门,国家级精品资源共享课1门,教育部英特尔精品课程1门,爱课程网中国大学MOOC课程9门;国家级精品(优秀)教材2部,十二五国家级教材规划8部;教育部高校校园文化建设优秀成果一等奖1项。在校大学生在各级各类竞赛中成绩斐然,先后获得全国大学生电子设计竞赛最高奖索尼杯瑞萨杯、美国大学生数学建模竞赛最高奖SIAM奖、全国大学生数学建模竞赛一等奖、挑战杯全国大学生课外学术科技作品竞赛一等奖、中国机器人大赛暨Robocup公开赛冠军等国家级以上重要奖项,十二五以来,累计获省部级以上奖励3158项。70多年来,学校为国家输送了各类优秀人才15万余名,很多成为国内外信息产业和人口计生领域的领军人物、技术精英和管理骨干,享有华夏IT英才的摇篮之誉。

学校大力提升科技创新水平和社会服务能力。学校构建信息材料、信息器件、信息网络、信息系统、信息应用五位一体的科技创新体系,在新一代移动通信、物联网、移动互联网、大数据、云计算、网络空间安全、有机电子与信息显示、集成电路与微组装、智能电网、光通信、智能制造、现代邮政、人口学等研究领域处于国内先进水平。近三年,新增国家科技重大专项、国家973计划、国家重大科研仪器研制、国家自然科学基金重点项目、国家社科基金项目等各类国家级科研课题406项;获国家自然科学奖二等奖,国家技术发明二等奖,高等学校科学研究优秀成果奖(科学技术)一等奖、二等奖,高等学校科学研究优秀成果奖(人文社会科学)二等奖,中国高等学校十大科技进展等省部级及以上科研成果奖48项;发表学术论文14000多篇,其中5900多篇被SCIEICPCI-S收录。学校实施一市一院校地特色化合作战略和一技一企校企协同创新战略,与地方政府共建校地研究院6个,与企业共建校企创新平台41个。学校围绕通信、物联网等学科特色,完成了物联网领域从人才培养、科学研究到服务社会的全方位布局,建成国家大学科技园1个,国家技术转移示范机构1个,全国科普教育基地1个,国家众创空间1个。

学校积极推进国际交流合作。入选国家2017年度高等学校学科创新引智计划(简称“111计划),招收本、硕、博三个层次海外留学生,生源来自俄罗斯、加纳等30余国,目前在校留学生近300人。先后有近千名国(境)外专家学者来校参加国际会议、讲学和访问,现有30余项学生海外交流项目,海外教育学院与美国纽约理工学院合作的4个专业获教育部批准为中外合作办学项目。积极参与国际电信联盟(ITU)组织的各项会议,承接亚太电信组织(APT)在中国的培训任务,参与通信领域相关国际标准的制定。

开放计算与普适感知前沿实验室FocusLab

 南京邮电大学开放计算与普适感知前沿实验室(FocusLab)团队是依托微纳期间与信息系统创新引智基地(111基地)。团队现有全职教师10名,其中欧洲科学院院士1名、IEEE院士1名、教授4名、副教授1名、高级工程师2人、博士(讲师)3人。主要研究方向包括压缩感知、深度学习、机器学习、视频压缩与编码、无线通信、信道估计与信号检测、计算机视觉/图像处理/多媒体分析、自然语言处理等等。承担省部级以及横向项目10余项。该团队先后获得IEEE国际通信大会最佳论文奖2项、IEEE车载技术大会最佳学生论文奖1项、日本文部省外国人特别研究员奖学金1次。主持或参与过多项国家自然科学基金项目、国家七五攻关项目、国家863项目、企业横向项目、日本文部省自然科学基金项目和横向合作项目。在视频压缩与编码,大数据信号传输、自适应信号检测、图像恢复、目标特征抽取、运动目标检测与跟踪等方向有深厚的积累,形成了相关的产品级算法、设备。

      桂冠,南京邮电大学教授、博士生导师、江苏特聘教授(2016)、江苏省高层次创新创业人才(2016)、IEEE高级会员(2017)、江苏省六大高峰人才(2018)、日本学术振兴会(JSPS)特别研究员(2012-20142018)、南京市中青年拔尖人才(2018)、南京青年五四奖章(2018)、南京邮电大学优秀党员(2018)。已在国际学术期刊(IEEE IoT, IEEE TCOM, IEEE TVT, IEEE System Journal, IEEE COMMAG等)发表SCI论文100余篇,出版Spring英文专著1部,获七次国际会议最佳论文奖(IEEE ICC2014, IEEE VTC2014-Spring, IEEE ICC2017, ICNC2018, CSPS2018 ADHIP2018 ICEICT2019),申请国家发明专利50余项。先后担任IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology2017~)、IEEE Access 2018~)、通信学报(2019~)和KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Systems2017~)等期刊编委。近几年来研究兴趣:人工智能、深度学习、智能无线通信、压缩感知等。      

江苏省微型电脑应用协会

 江苏省微型电脑应用协会是由江苏省从事计算机应用的科研、教学、生产服务、经营与推广应用等方面的单位和个人所组成的跨行业、跨部门的学术性群众团体,协会成立于1983年,于1991418日经江苏省民政厅登记,具有法人资格,是江苏省科学技术协会的组成部分。协会挂靠单位为国网电力科学研究院/南瑞集团。

 协会第一届第二届理事会理事长为马经国, 第二届第三届理事会理事长为李褔生,第五届理事会理事长分别为王力科、闫华锋,第六届理事会理事长分别为闫华锋,奚国富, 第七届理事会理事长为胡江溢。本协会现为第七届理事会,理事长为国网电力科学研究院/南瑞集团的副院长/副总经理胡江溢;东南大学计算机科学与工程学院院长罗军舟;南京大学计算机与软件学院党委书记武港山;全球能源互联网研究院信通所所长林为民;南京朗坤软件有限公司董事长武爱斌。秘书长为国网电力科学研究院/南京南瑞集团公司信息通信技术分公司副总经理赵高峰。

 协会拥有二百余所知名高校和科研院所及大中型企事业单位为会员单位,协会下设:多媒体技术、网络与应用、人工智能、信息安全、嵌入式系统、企业信息化、通信技术等七个专业委员会。各专委会主任分别由南京大学、东南大学、南京理工大学、江苏省公安厅、南瑞集团、慧德信息管理咨询有限公司、总参63所的专家教授担任。多年来协会坚持“面向学术、面向教育、面向企业,面向会员”的办会方向,发挥“桥梁”和“纽带”作用,开展了一系列的学术经验交流与技术应用活动,尤其是在电力系统信息化方面成绩显著,多年被江苏省科协评为“学会工作先进集体2002年被江苏省民政厅评为 “江苏省省级社会团体先进单位”。2004年获得了江苏省人事厅、江苏省科学技术协会的表彰。 本协会秘书长的工作每年都获得了江苏省科协的肯定与奖励。

 随着形势的变化,市场的发展,企业界经济界的实力上升,科技界向企业界靠拢是势所必然。多年来江苏省微型电脑应用协会的实践也说明了这一点。企业积极参加协会组织的各种活动,从协会活动中得到技术知识和技术信息,提高了企业的技术实力和社会知名度,依托协会努力工作在社会上获得广泛好评和信任。
